ABOUT US

Céad míle fáilte (one hundred thousand welcomes) to our pub.

Irish owner Leo Martin and his wife Inge are very proud of their little Irish home away from home.

After years of working  in bars, they finally have a place of their own. Leo started as an apprentice barman at the age of 17 in County Louth, Ireland and hasn’t left the trade since. Inge spent years working in the horeca too.

They even met in a bar and got married in one.. Love at first beer..

Their dream of owning an Irish pub began in 2015 when they launched a crowdfunding campaign to finance the project. It was a massive success and was funded within 24 hours!

They decided to call it ‘Mad Molly’s’ as being called mad in Ireland is actually a compliment. Molly is a traditional Irish name and reminds us of the Molly Malone song from the Dubliners.

And we are a traditional pub. This shows in our live music with our monthly Celtic jam sessions and in our interest in sports. We even have Irish crisps and of course, the best Irish drinks in town.

We like to look after our customers. We pride ourselves in the warm atmosphere in our pub, which makes you feel at home straight away.

Whether you come in by yourself, with friends or with family, you’ll be sure to find a friendly face.

We hope to bring a bit of Ireland to Breda for many years to come, as we love meeting everyone and seeing old and new customers finding their way into our pub.

We look forward to welcoming you soon.

Leo and Inge
